Does Isaiah 59:19 refer to the spread of the church to California and Hawaii?

The "Iglesia Ni Cristo" claims that Isaiah 59:19 refers to the western expansion of the church. Specifically, that after being re-established in the Philippines, it fulfilled prophecy by setting up locales in California and Hawaii. Is this the correct understanding of the verse?

Isaiah 59:19 (ESV) - 19 So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west,
and his glory from the rising of the sun;
for he will come like a rushing stream,
which the wind of the Lord drives.

When we examine the verse and the INC's argument, we find that it does not refer to the spread of the church, but the spread of God's judgment.

This verse does not say "far west".

The phrase "far west" is a mistranslation. The Hebrew word "maarab" simply means "west" and the concept of the "far west" referring to the western United States only makes sense within the context of the United States.

Isaiah 59:19 is about God's judgment.

Let's include the previous and next verse and read it again.

Isaiah 59:18-20 (ESV) - 18 According to their deeds, so will he repay,
wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies;
to the coastlands he will render repayment.
19 So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west,
and his glory from the rising of the sun;
for he will come like a rushing stream,
which the wind of the Lord drives.
20 "And a Redeemer will come to Zion,
to those in Jacob who turn from transgression," declares the Lord.

This verse is not talking about the spread of the church at all, but of the spreading of God's judgment. In this passage, it is spreading from coast to coast causing those in all directions to praise him and give him glory.

If the INC really wants to say that this verse is about the spreading of the church, then they would have to also say that their organization is part of God's judgment on mankind.

Conclusion

This verse does not speak of the INC's spread to the US, but instead speaks of God's judgment spreading from coast to coast.

It would be better to repent of this twisting of scripture and believe the true gospel so that God's wrath will be removed.
