5 - Do You Read the Bible?
Conley: After the bible study, at a restaurant, I met many INC members. I asked them why they joined the church, and noticed that many of them had very similar stories...
Mark: Hi, I'm Mark! I used to be Roman Catholic, but I joined Iglesia Ni Cristo because all the teaching is from the bible!
Maria: Hi, I'm Maria! I grew up Methodist, but never really heard the bible there. Everything here comes from the bible.
Jose: Hi, I'm Jose! I was raised in Iglesia Ni Cristo, and I love that our teaching is biblical, and that the minister answers our questions from the bible.
Conley: All the members of Iglesia Ni Cristo told me how much they loved the bible, and how all the teachings of the church come from the bible, so naturally I asked them about the bible.
Mark: I write down the verses from bible study to look at later, that's all.
Maria: I don't really read the bible that often.
Jose: I read the verses necessary to prepare for the lessons I teach the kids, but not much more than that.
Conley: What? Really, none of you read the bible?
1. Ng matapos ang bible study sa restawran, naipakilala sa akin ang ibang mga myembro ng INC. At itinanung ko sa kanila kung bakit sila sumapi sa simbahan. At aking napuna na halos parehas ang kanilang mga kwento… 2. Ako po si Mark at dati po akong katoliko. Kaya ako umanib sa Iglesia Ni Cristo kasi ang lahat ng itinuturo ay galing sa biblia. 3. Ako naman po si Maria, lumaki akong Methodist, pero hindi ko narinig ang biblia sa kanila. Dito ang lahat ay nanggagaling sa biblia 4. At ako naman po ay si Jose lumaki ako sa Iglesia Ni Cristo, at mahal ko ang kanilang tinuturo dahil ito’y galing sa biblia. At ang tagapagturong ministro ang sumasagot sa mga katanungang patungkol sa biblia. 5. Lahat ng miyembro ng Iglesia Ni Cristo ay nagpakita sa akin kung gaano nila kamahal ang biblia. At ang pagtuturo ng INC ay nanggagaling sa biblia. Kaya itinanung ko sa kanila patungkol sa biblia. 6. Hindi ko laging binabasa ang biblia. 7. Nakikinig ako sa pagtuturo ng ministro patungkol sa biblia, pero hindi ko ito binabasa sa sarili ko lang. 8. Binabasa ko ang mga bersikulo na kailangan sa pag-aaral bago ko ito itinuturo sa mga bata. Pero hangang doon lang. 9. Ano? Talaga? Walang nagbabasa ng biblia?
